|Title||An Approach of Topology Analysis of Mesh Networks|
46, room U06)
|Abstract||Because of their simplicity and reliability wireless mesh networks enjoy great popularity in the industrial environment. Also, existing
mesh networks are usually extended while being in operation. The manual analysis of networks
becomes therefore more and more involved and needs to be supported by automated methods. After giving a brief overview of WirelessHART, the first international standard for self-healing wireless networks, we present a graph-theoretical approach of extracting reliability-relevant information from the topology of the mesh. This information can be utilized during the planning, maintenance, and extension phase of the wireless network life-cycle.
